#VZWSG Savvy Gourmet Kickoff in Chicago....

I am SO excited about heading to Chicago in a few days that I don't even know where to begin packing! I was selected to be one of several food bloggers to attend the kickoff event of the Savvy Gourmet program with Verizon Wireless.
Ever since I got the email to let me know that I was selected,  I have been all a twitter about it! What would we do, where would we go, what will we be testing out...what will I be wearing?
All important questions, I know ;)

But seriously, This Momma doesn't leave the house much without her crew and for this trip my Beau and I are flying solo! That's right Folks, He and I are going to stay in 'The Big City' all alone! That's what my kids call Chicago...like they have never been there!
We have extended our stay so we can take in a few sights, dine at a few new (to us) places and just be together. My kids don't mind, they will be having fun of their own!

I am the first to admit that when technology started becoming more 'smart and less cumbersome' I was reluctant to mainstream. Like my friends were ;)
But all it took was me playing with my sisters IPhone and I was hooked! I was making lists, emailing, taking great photographs and doing blog posts! I was saving time and taking names!

Best of all, when I was unsure about a recipe, instead of running back to our home office, I just pulled it up on my Iphone and...Voila! Dinner was served!

I was eating my words and loving every minute of it.  My kids and I do 'Face Time' with my husband when he is on long trips, I can quickly share pictures of our goings-on with family and friends.  It's all in my hands.

So I will keep you posted on what I learn. Maybe even convert a few of you 'free flip phone' users to abandon ship and come to the dark side. And I promise you, the dark side comes equipped with a rockin' camera and lightning fast internet.
