Over the last few weeks I have had so many conversations with people about where they shop online for food, spices, specialty ingredients and the like. I am not sure why, but I do not buy a lot online. I think because by the time I need it I cannot wait to have it shipped. I just go and buy it where I need it. I have gotten better about keeping my spices stocked and have found a few retailers that I have ordered from with no problems like Penzey's and Marion-Kay (an Indiana company).
I was amazed though to find out that SO many of my friends do most of their shopping online AND the ones that are bloggers have their own Amazon affiliate links! Where have I been...under a rock?
So the other night I was having a hard time sleeping so I poked around on my tablet looking for popular sites. A bad thing to start when on your tablet in bed. Next thing you know you have been on there for an hour and it is now the a.m.
I made quite a wish list on Amazon. I will let it stew there for a few weeks to see if I really need it. I also found several items on the specialty food products website FoodSpring
and the first thing I found on their website was this:
Find this HERE |
So I have to know...Do YOU shop online? Where to YOU buy specialty food products, ingredients and spices? Or do you? Just wondering. I may be the last 30-something woman who hardly shop online ;)
This is not a sponsored post. I just want to know!
I've bought a lot of ingredients form the King Arthur Flour Company's website. They have just about any flour, sugar, flavoring, pan, etc that you can think of! The site is www.kingarthurflour.com. I'm like you and having ordered many things online, except from this site, but I plan to check out the ones you've mentioned soon!
ReplyDeleteI hardly shop online for food items or ingredients at all. I love to visit interesting food stores and browse and buying online is not the same. I love to go to Jungle Jim's, Trader Joes, the Amish grocery store in Fountain City IN and I'm excited about the Earth Fare store coming to Hamilton Town Center. Have you ever been to that Amish store? They have all kinds of specialty peanut butters and you can even sample them.
ReplyDeleteWe eat so much fresh fruit and veggies I never thought about shopping online. I am pretty much a Kroger girl. Occasionally Marsh if I forget something (it is closer to my house). Sometimes Bloomingfoods or Sahara Mart for harder to find items but rarely these days.
ReplyDeleteI must be behind the times - the only items I buy on Amazon are books (usually cookbooks!!) and never groceries - perhaps it's time to change.

I have never bought any food items on line, but hey the right product. . . This looks so yummy.
ReplyDeleteLiving in a small town, I often have to resort to online shopping to find items not carried in our local groceries. I often do that when I have a cake I'm making/decorating for an event & I know I won't have time to get into a city to get the supplies I need. My new favorite site for that is Global Sugar Art (www.globalsugarart.com). And FYI... I can get the Dark Chocolate Dreams at our local Wal Mart, and if we have it in Madison, I bet you can find it at yours, too!
